NO, the west bottoms is in kansas city. this restaurant is in st Joseph an hour away.
Kelley, the prices are pricey, but well worth it. My wife and I had appetizer, dinner and drinks around $90.00 including tip. You really need to go, I promise you will not be disappointed.
Hours are 11am-9pm M-Th, and 11am-10:30pm Friday and Saturday. They are closed Sunday. It may be helpful to make a reservation for large groups, but it is not needed for a smaller group.
They're closed on Sunday's
They're good, but Missouri is land locked in the middle of the country and not a seafood destination. Unless you want catfish anyway.
I feel this has thoroughly answered. XD
Ms. Perks, the food is to good for Door Dash. You want to stay away from that service.
Are you serious?
No. Casual dress.
are you talking about 11:30in the morning or at night try asking for the head manager or the owner alot of times its just in changing the time cuz the might already be full they still offer excellent food
Amazing crab bisque. That's worth the 5 stars. Im just not a spicy or overly peppery food fan, which is the theme I guess. I even asked the waitress before ordering the stuffed shrimp if it was spicy & she said no. I took a bite when it came & i could feel the spice in my throat. So I ate the potato that came With it. I drove an hour to go try this place & the crab bisque was honestly worth it.
This is my favorite restaurant! Anytime we get a date night we come here and my family always has our birthday dinners here. At my first visit I ordered crab cakes and wasn't a big fan. I was pregnant and my taste buds were all crazy. I took one tiny bite. The staff went out of their way to bring me something different even though I didn't complain and told them it was okay, I knew my taste buds were strange. They ended up taking the price off of our ticket too! The staff is incredible. All of the other food we have ever had has been so so good. The atmosphere is so fun. We love coming here and will continue to do so!
Our server was fantastic, attended to all our needs, food was just amazing, as always. We have never had a bad meal there. Restaurant was clean, bathrooms clean. We will continue going to Boudreau's
Delicious, Unique Food. Great Atmosphere 🌶️🍤🍹🍲🦐🐊
Nice restaurant in old downtown. Has great decor and vibe. Food is very good! Had stuffed tilapia and blackened shrimp tacos for entrees and deep fried alligator for appetizer--the alligator is a must! Also had a spicy Bloody Mary which was just okay, and definitely not spicy. Service is also good. Gets very busy on Fridays and Saturdays from what I learned and it was full by about 6:30p last Friday. Will be going back to try some more dishes!
One of St. Joe's foodie gems. Louisiana seafood, including shrimp, crayfish, lobster, and alligator.
Food was great, they had a lot of options to choose from and very good service.
It was seafood in the Midwest, so it will never be the best in the world, but for Midwest seafood it was pretty good. Would recommend if you're willing to pay about $18 a plate.
the veggies are ok but the jambalaya was tasty and the onion rings are the best.especially like the neat tall tall ceiling abd the nice bar furniture. great place to have a late afternoon lunch.
Amazing food and awesome bartender try the Sexy Raz if your 21+
This is the best Cajun style food I've had in this area. Very authentic and filling. Portion sizes are moderate. The crab bisque was the best and the jumbalaya was very good as well.
Always great food and excellent service! A very welcoming place. Wait staff is very attentive. They take excellent care of you.I've never had a bad dish here. This most recent time I got the Bourbon Street dish with shrimp and crawfish tails. It was excellent!!Their fries and onion rings are wonderful! Choose the 1/2 and 1/2 for a side to make sure you get to try them both. For an appetizer I'd suggest the fried alligator.Be sure to check them out and give it a try.
Well, I loved this restaurant. Just did a Google search for restaurants near me and kind of threw a dart and it landed at Boudreaux‘s. So glad it did. The jambalaya was very flavorful and not too spicy. Some of the best I’ve ever had.… And in Saint Joe Missouri? If you like it really spicy they can heat it up for you. The mashed potatoes were pretty amazing. I’m ruined for life now. So if you’re looking for a good meal, look no further than Boudreaux’s Louisiana seafood. Really!
Jumbalya and crawfish etouffee were on point with great flavor and the right amount of heat. Sat at the bar and bartender was extremely attentive.
WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. A DISGRACE. NO FLAVOR. NO CRUNCH BEST THING WAS THE SALAD AND IT WAS TERRIBLE. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. GO TO MCDONALD'S.
A real Cajun restaurant in the Midwest! I totally loved this place. It is authentic! I dated a Cajun from Baton Rouge for several years and this place made me think I was in Louisiana. Loved all of the LSU decor, the food was great. I had the gator appetizer and a seafood etouffe. Most importantly, the Hurricanes were spot on. Made me think I was at Pat O'Briens in the French Quarter! Great place!
I think overall the food is okay. I ordered a cheeseburger from kids meal for my youngest and it was a little disappointing. I wished there was a slice of tomato and lettuce for his kids meal. The other dish for my son was ok also. But he told me this morning, he really liked the onion ring (side dish). He said, “it was light and crispy.” Lastly, our server was really nice and the service was excellent. I don’t think I will go back to this place again.
Great food, great atmosphere. I had a Long Island Iced Tea, it was strong and delish. Jambalaya was delicious, along with the fried gator appetizer. I will definitely be going back!
Took my wife to St. Joe for a day date. Saw this place on Google and had an amazing lunch! The oysters were fresh, the gator was amazing and even the hush puppies were phenomenal. That was just the appetizers! The food was some of the best southern comfort food I've had since moving to the midwest. It's worth the hour drive from KC!
Had a great lunch about noon on Saturday. My shrimp etouffee was delicious. Another guest at my table had seafood jambalaya that was delicious. The salads were very good. The lemon Italian cake for dessert was outstanding 👌
Great atmosphere, food, and service. We will stop everytime we are in town.
Boudreaux's is like being in the French Quarter's without the long travel time. Great service, warm cozy atmosphere and excellent flavorful breath taking food
This is a place I love to visit everytime I am in St. Joe for work. It has been about 4 years since my last visit. It was just as amazing as it always is. The Boudin balls are spot on and the house steak was delicious. Jordan is an amazing server and would highly recommend her. Hope to be back this week before I leave for home.
Great restaurant we had fried Catfish and the seafood jambalaya both were fantastic. The mixed drinks are awesome and reasonably priced
Went for lunch. Server was having a bad day I think. No silverware. Ended up getting from another table. Restrooms were not very clean or stocked. Food was good as usual. Gator was more crunch then gator. But the real kicker was the 15 dollars for 3 sodas on the bill. Not alcohol. Tea and 2 pops. 15 bucks. I'm not rich enough to roll like that I guess.
Everything we had was delicious! If you get shrimp, the blackened was great and they were huge too. So glad we stopped there to eat.
Very good service. Our server Adam had his hands full but he handled all 20ish of us like a champ. All the food was good and amazing and service was nothing short of 5 star core! Thank you for an amazing night and a great Christmas party from Lost Creek Wind Farm!!!
Fresh seafood! Quick service! Good portions. All around great experience.
We've been here twice, now, and it's already become a staple when we're in town visiting family. Unlike so much of the Midwest, they don't overcook their shrimp. Always big and tender, not boiled down shoe leather. Friendly and cheerful service that'll cut up with you.
Delicious, if you're wanting some cajun food this is the place to go. They have great steaks, stuffed mushrooms, catfish pieces, jambalaya and many other delicious choices. It's a casual environment and a great place for families or groups. The prices are a little higher than other places, but definitely worth every penny!
Decent food. Good service. Interesting history.
After traveling all day, our family enjoyed our entire visit. The food was delicious, the wait staff was more than welcoming and pleasant, and the atmosphere was lovely and fun.Our server, Ashton, was genuine and kind. She worked hard for her section and went above and beyond. Thank you for a great meal and experience.
The food was excellent. The waiter was polite. Why only two stars? We are in the middle of a global pandemic. Not one person was wearing a mask. There was no social distancing! Despite there being very few people when we went, they ignored all the open tables, and placed us directly between two CLOSE tables (I could hear the other tables quiet conversation!). When the waiter came (NO MASK!), he leaned forward to talk to me to tell me about today's specials! I cringed backwards. I was so uncomfortable and wanted to leave, but my stubborn husband wanted gumbo. This place, apparently, does not care about the health and safety of its customers. If we weren't in a pandemic, I would have given them 5 stars for the food and service, yet we certainly are and they certainly don't care!
Great food, great atmosphere. Cajun not spoken. When I came in I said "hello there, how you all is" and they weren't sure what I was saying. However the food is straight from beale street. Go there! Come early or prepare for a wait!
An amazing little cajun restaurant in downtown St Joseph with authentic cuisine and a fun atmosphere. The menu is complete with your N'awlins favorites and the bar is stocked very well. Let the good times roll!!!
Really good Cajun food. Sometimes they can be a bit salt heavy though. The wait before and after we ordered was a little long. I would rate higher if they were more consistent with the seasoning and if the wait staff was more attentive.
AMAZING FOOD NO MATTER WHAT YOU ORDER!
Wonderful place! The house sauce was amazing!! Service was polite and inviting as well.
Cute little place to eat great service! First time having alligator 10-10⭐
Ordered the seafood jambalaya and cajun mac and cheese. Excellent!! Great service also. Ask for Adam.
Great place to eat with lots of options. I personally like the fettuccine with blackened chicken. Top Notch!
its cajun at a cost. the size of some meals are just not enough for the cost. not bad in taste. downside is if you want bread your going to have to pay for it. no free bread here friends.
So, we arrived and ordered our drinks I got a margarita that never came. My wife asked if it was possible for them to not put onions on her entree, which the server said “uhhhhhhh probably” and when it came out it was layered in onions and the sauce was made with onions, we both ordered a salad which only one came out and my steak tasted like seafood, which is understandable since it’s a seafood restaurant but geez. I also had to ask for my side salad and my our other two sides to come out. Horrible experience tbh.
Great little Cajun place! Service was good, food was excellent, and a nice atmosphere. What more can you ask for. Highly recommend :)
Great food, great service. Little too loud for my liking but it was dinner time so I understand. Would recommend stopping in sometime.
A really excellent place for lunch and dinner! I really enjoyed the Cajun flavor. The burgers were really excellent, I had one with a local beer for lunch, the Second Amendment Red Ale is really excellent, I had a Pint of it and really enjoyed it. Service was great and their surroundings were really interesting, I enjoyed it.
Exceeded our expectations. A very nice Cajun restaurant tucked away here in St. Joe Mo. The food was tasty and flavorful. Brook our waitress was spot on very attentive. We'll be back the next time we're in town. Two thumbs up.
Awesome food. Wish service was faster but it seems like the whole town goes here so there's not much they can do.
My boyfriend and I were getting away for the weekend and decided to eat in because they were good about spacing out tables. This place has a nice atmosphere and the gorgeous bar has a very cool history. When walking in, our hostess greeted us with a pleasant smile and friendly demeanor. At first she took us to an area we weren't comfortable sitting in, but didn't act put off at all that we wanted to sit somewhere else. Our server, Ashton was super patient with us and offered a lot of suggestions based on personal favorites and popular visitor selections. She took great care of us and was very genuine. The menu is full of choices and the food came within good time. We loved our appetizer & meals. I had blackened mahi with a side of pontchatrain sauce and cajun seafood mac and cheese. He had the etouffee with a side of cajun seafood mashed. Our drinks and desserts were great too. Totally recommend.
Crawfish etoufee and seafood mashed potatoes = Cajun heaven
